Waupun Man Pleads To Burglary Charge

A 43-year-old Waupun man has pled “no contest” to a felony burglary charge for stealing from the Waupun Food Pantry. Michael Fiedler entered the plea during a hearing in Dodge County Court Monday. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered. He was picked up on a Department of Corrections warrant at his home in August, but police later talked to him about a burglary that occurred at the pantry the previous day. Deputy Police Chief Jeremy Rasch says after hours’ video surveillance from the pantry was used to identify him.  Turns out Fiedler had stolen a key to the pantry and had taken food from it 3 to 5 times over the past year. On August 17th he allegedly took $28 and food from the pantry.
