Waupun Tech Ed Center Creating Interest

The Waupun Area School District recently held a “Pathways and Partnership” event that spurred additional interest in the Waupun Technical Education Center that will be built near the high school. It was a job fair for kids at the junior/senior high and the community. Fifty-three businesses participated and afterwards a lot of them expressed interest in the new Tech-Ed center that will break ground in the spring. District Superintendent Tonya Olson says they have received donations they used to purchase equipment for the center, which is already getting a lot of use from kids in their Warrior Fabrication business. The student-run Warrior Fabrication does small manufacturing jobs for area manufacturers.
