Weekly Gas Price Report – Price at Pump Continues to Fall Both Locally and Nationally

Drivers continue to pay less at the pump as we enter the
final two weeks of August. According to Triple-A, the nationwide average cost at
the pump sits at $2.62, which is down three cents from last week and 17 cents
from a month ago, when it was $2.79. In Wisconsin, the statewide average price sits
at $2.59 as of Sunday night, with drivers in Rock County having the cheapest
gas at $2.51. Iron County in the northern part of the state has the highest
average, at $2.82 per gallon. Locally, Fond du Lac County drivers are seeing an
average of $2.53 per gallon of gas – Dodge County and Calumet County are
slightly higher at $2.58, while both Winnebago and Sheboygan Counties are at
$2.60.
