Weekly Gas Price Report – Prices at the Pump Slowly Falling

The statewide average price for a gallon of gas is a penny
lower than this time last week, as we begin the first full week of August. Triple-A
says Wisconsin’s average price sits at $2.70 as of Sunday night, down from
$2.71 last week. In comparison, the national average is down two cents from
last week to $2.71. Drivers in Fond du Lac County are still seeing the lowest
average price on a county-by-county basis, with gas prices sitting at $2.59.
Iron County in northern Wisconsin remains the highest at $2.85. Nationwide, California
still has the highest average price at $3.67, while Louisiana drivers have the
lowest at $2.33.
