Weekly Gas Price Report – State Average Dips, National Average Holds Steady

The average price of a gallon of gas in Wisconsin dropped
slightly, while the national average held steady. That’s according to Triple-A,
who’s data shows the price in-state dropped three cents from last week to
$2.50, while the national average remained at $2.65 for a second straight week.


Drivers in Fond du Lac County are seeing an average cost of
$2.41 at the pump this week, with the lowest prices in the state found in Rock,
Kenosha and Washington counties at $2.37. Price County in northern Wisconsin still
shows the highest price at the pump – at $2.76 a gallon. Across the nation, California
drivers continue to see the highest prices at $4.17 a gallon, while South
Carolina and Louisiana are tied for the lowest at $2.28.
