Well Water Testing Available At Literacy Night Tonight

Private well owners in the Waupun area are invited to bring in their water for testing during the Rock River Intermediate School’s Literacy Night tonight at the school in Waupun. Diana Tscheschlok of the Fond du Lac County UW Extension says students in Leigh Kohlmann’s sixth grade science class will demonstrate how well water gets contaminated and show existing water quality data for the area. The Literacy Night is from 5 to 7 p.m. at the school.  She says she will be on hand to collect sampling program registrations, pass out bottles and instructions, and answer any questions. She says anyone living in the Waupun area is welcome to attend. Registration details are online. Families can choose which samples to take (bacteria, nitrates, and/or arsenic) and can pay with a credit card or check.
