WI DNR Says Duck Season Still A Go…For Now

The coronavirus has wreaked havoc on a great many events scheduled the past few weeks, as well as for events coming up in the next weeks and even months. But it hasn’t canceled duck season in Wisconsin, at least not yet. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources approved the framework for duck, goose, and other migratory bird hunting seasons. Northern duck season opens September 26th.

Wisconsin’s other two zones will open hunting on October 3rd. Goose season starts September 16th for most of Wisconsin. The DNR says there’ll be a special goose season in southern Wisconsin between Christmas and New Year’s. While it’s way too early to think of life getting back to “normal”, there is at least some hope that there will be a few things will may still be able to enjoy down the road.
