Winter Weather Advisory In Effect Through Tuesday

If you thought Spring started Sunday, you were wrong. The sunshine and 50 degree temperatures gave us a nice glimpse of what is to come, but Mother Nature is on her way back to remind us that Winter is not done, yet.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory covering the counties of Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Columbia, Dodge, Washington and Ozaukee.

We can look to receive freezing rain, sleet and some snow in the area. Ice accumulation of up to a quarter of an inch and snow of up to an inch can also be expected.

The path of the storm includes east central, south central and southeast Wisconsin, with the Weather Advisory in effect from 5 p.m. Monday (2/21/2022) through 6 p.m. Tuesday (2/22/2022).

With the impending ice, residents can expect power outages and tree damage. Travel could difficult and hazardous driving conditions could impact the Monday evening commute, into Tuesday night.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and use caution while traveling, and find the latest road conditions by calling 5-1-1.
