Wisconsin DOT Hosting Public Meeting Monday on Hwy 23 Expansion in FDL County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is holding a public meeting this coming Monday (August 19th) to discuss the Highway 23 expansion project and the work that will take place in Fond du Lac County in the coming years. The Fond du Lac County portion of the project is currently scheduled for construction in 2021 and 2022, and includes expansion of Highway 23 to a four-lane, divided highway from Highway 151 to Seven Hills Road. The expansion includes grading and paving, construction of interchanges at County Highway K and County Highway UU and a roundabout at Wisconsin American Drive on the east side of Fond du Lac

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting to review details of the project design, ask questions and provide comments to Department of Transportation officials. The DOT says this meeting only covers the portion of the project between Highway 151 and Seven Hills Road. The project between Seven Hills and the Fond du Lac/Sheboygan County Line will not be covered at the meeting.

The meeting will be held at the UW-Fond du Lac University Center – Rooms 113/114 from 5 to 7 pm on Monday.
