Wisconsin Football wins the Orange Bowl

The Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Miami Hurricanes 34-24 in the Orange Bowl Saturday night to close out the 2017 season with a win. Alex Hornibrook threw for 258 yards and four touchdowns in the win, as Wisconsin used a 21 point second quarter to turn a 14-3 deficit into a 24-14 halftime advantage. True freshman Danny Davis caught five passes for 56 yards and three touchdowns in the win, while AJ Taylor had 105 yards receiving and a score. Jonathan Taylor carried the ball 26 times for 130 yards in the contest to lead the Badgers’ ground game. Wisconsin’s defense turned the tables on the Hurricanes, whose defense lives to create turnovers. The Badgers intercepted Miami quarterback Malik Rosier three times in the win, with Andrew Van Ginkel, Derrick Tindal and Ryan Connelly each intercepting a pass. The win gives Wisconsin a 13-1 record, the first time a Badgers team has won 13 games in a season.
