Wittman Regional Airport to get Improvement Funding

Wittman Regional Airport is getting a financial boost, thanks to the Governor. Tony Evers has approved funding totaling $400,000 to develop a master plan for the Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, and another $218,000 for pavement maintenance. The Airport is home to over 10,000 aircraft and more than 500,000 people each year when it hosts the EAA Air Venture Event. The Wisconsin DOT Bureau of Aeronautics Development Engineer, Lucas Ward, P.E., says the project will guide the airport’s development for the next 20 years. Funds are coming from the state, Winnebago County and the FAA.
