WLA Boys Win Share of Flyway Hoops Title

Mitch McFarlane hit a jumper as time expired in overtime giving the Vikings a
51-50 win over Omro and a share of the Flyway Conference title on Thursday night.  Omro’s Travis Pomplun hit a left baseline
three-pointer with :14 seconds left in the extra period to give the Foxes the
50-49 lead before McFarlane’s game winner. 
The WLA senior finished with 31 points. 
WLA and Omro both finish with 10-2 records in the conference.  The Vikings (14-8) last league title came in
2010.  They will host Poynette next
Tuesday in the 1^st round of the Division Three Regional.  Omro (19-3) will host Lomira in their playoff
opener on Tuesday.
