WLA Pounds SMSA

Winnebago Lutheran picked up an impressive 63-52 road win at St. Mary’s Springs on Thursday night.  WLA jumped on St. Mary’s Springs 14-7 after one quarter and road that to a 27-14 lead at the break.  Jermiah Hoffmann’s team used a 15-7 burst to start the 2nd half to build a 21 point lead in the first 3:29 of the 3rd quarter and never looked back.  Micah Callies led four Vikings in double figures with 15.  Mitch McFarlane added 12 while Will Aird and Ben Wolff each chipped in 11. Corey Nies had 13 to pace the Ledgers while Colin Ottery added 11 and Brennan Ottery 10. The win improves WLA to 3-5 in the Flyway and 3-7 overall.  St. Mary’s Springs has their six game win streak snapped as they drop to 3-4 in the league and 7-4 overall.
