WMH Welcomes New Inpatient Nursing Director

Waupun Memorial Hospital (WMH) has welcomed Kyle Hunter, RN, BSN, as its new inpatient director for its Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Obstetrics and Department of Corrections units.

Hunter began her nursing career at Divine Savior Healthcare (Portage) in the Emergency Department and has advanced through various supervisory/management roles since that time. She most recently served as director of Home Care with Divine Savior Healthcare. Her introduction to Agnesian HealthCare was as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department at Ripon Medical Center.

“We are excited to welcome Kyle to Waupun Memorial Hospital and Agnesian HealthCare,” says DeAnn Thurmer, WMH chief operating officer. “We look forward to working with Kyle as we continue our Pathway to Excellence journey in delivering simply the best care.”

Hunter’s first healthcare position was as an emergency medical technician (EMT). After that, she served various roles in emergency department, managed care and home care.

“I am really excited to join the Agnesian HealthCare family at Waupun Memorial Hospital for a few reasons,” Hunter says. “I could feel the positive energy here when I came to talk to DeAnn Thurmer and the team in Waupun. The mission and values of Agnesian HealthCare are identical to mine, as well as the belief that associates are our root to providing excellence and so we need to celebrate them.”
