Women Hold Board Of Regents Top Spots

For the first time, the president and vice president of the UW System Board of Regents are women.

Karen Walsh was selected as Regents president, and Amy Bogenfeld Bogost as vice-president, at the Regents meeting in Milwaukee on Friday. Both were uncontested.

Walsh is the third woman to lead the Board of Regents since the UW System was established in 1974. She and Bogost were both appointed Regents by Governor Tony Evers.
