Yards And Volunteers Needed For Rake A Difference Day

About 250 volunteers are needed to rake yards in Fond du Lac County during what is being called Rake-A-Difference Day. Fond du Lac Area United Way Executive Director Amber Kilawee says it is a play on words for the national Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 22nd. She says volunteers will gather that morning at the Fond du Lac Rec Department. There will be a light breakfast at 8 a.m. and people will be sent out on their assignments, which will take until 1 p.m. She says they would like to rake the yards of 100 people who may not be able to physically do it themselves. She says the cost is nothing. For more information about serving as a volunteer raker or getting your yard raked call the United Way at (920) 921-7010.
