Yelich Named All-Star Game Starter

It shouldn’t come as any surprise – but, Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich will be a starter in next month’s MLB All-Star Game in Cleveland. Yelich earned the most votes out of all finalists in the National League in the “Starters Election” of the balloting this year, with a total of 930,577. Yelich joins Cody Bellinger of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Ronald Acuna Jr. of the Atlanta Braves as outfield starters for the NL.

Yelich is the only Brewers player to earn a starting nod, Yasmani Grandal (Catcher) and Mike Moustakas (Second Base) were runners up at their respective positions. The All-Star Game is July 9th.
