Young Scores 48 as Hawks take Game One of Eastern Conference Finals over Bucks

Eastern Conference Finals – Game 1: 

Atlanta 116, Milwaukee 113

Trae Young scored 48 points and dished out 11 assists as the Hawks edged the Bucks to steal game one of the Eastern Conference Finals Wednesday night at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. 

The Bucks held a 111-107 lead with just over two minutes to play in the game – but Atlanta would go on a 9-2 run to end the game and take a 1-0 lead in the series. Clint Capela’s jumper put the Hawks ahead with 30 seconds left, then Young would make four consecutive free throws to put the game on ice. 

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and had nine assists in the loss for the Bucks. Jrue Holiday would add 33 points and 11 assists, while Khris Middleton shot just six-of-23 from the floor, including 0-for-9 from three point range in the loss, to finish with 15 points. 

Game Two of the series is Friday night in Milwaukee – tipoff is 7:30 PM.
