Fond du Lac, WI – Ten participating teams, fellow Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF) members and the Fond du Lac Lionesses gathered for the first-ever Kickin’ for a Cause charity kickball tournament held during the state-wide Young Professionals week (YPWeek). Through the generosity of sponsors and attendees, the Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF) presented a $2,000 donation to Solutions Center.

On Saturday, April 29, participating teams and community members gathered at McDermott Park for the tournament, live music, 50/50 raffle, food and refreshments – all in support of Solutions Center. The event was tied into a state-wide initiative known as YPWeek which serves to highlight young professional culture in communities across Wisconsin. This year, each participating group was encouraged to host a community project that would leave a lasting impact. The local planning committee considered multiple options and ultimately decided to work towards contributing funds to help end domestic violence in our communities.

“We are excited to be helping Solutions Center with this $2,000 contribution,” says Nick Nell, 2017 YPF President. “Our members rallied around the cause and helped make the inaugural kickball tournament a rousing success.”

Solutions Center provides safety, offers support and restores hope to those affected by domestic abuse and homelessness. These funds will benefit their initiatives to assist those affected by domestic abuse and homelessness.

The Kickin’ for a Cause charity kickball tournament was made possible by the generous support of Society Insurance and Fond du Lac Lionesses. Society Insurance is also the 2017 YPF Titanium Sponsor which helped YPF develop and deliver programming across all of YPWeek 2017 and ongoing events throughout the year.
